I am an Economist at Amazon on the Finance Science Team and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Business at Columbia Business School. Before joining Columbia, I was a Lecturer in the Department of Finance at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. I received my PhD in Economics at Johns Hopkins University.
Prior to joining Amazon, I was a Researcher at Dimensional Fund Advisors. I worked as a Summer Associate at the Congressional Budget Office Financial Analysis Division and as a Project Officer at the International Monetary Fund Research Department.
Born and raised in New York City, I attended New York University for my undergraduate and Brooklyn Technical High School.
I study macroeconomics with a focus on monetary policy, asset pricing, and financial markets. Having started my first job as a swimming instructor at my local YMCA, I have enjoyed teaching ever since.
